This song is not about me, but more the fact that I'm making fun of the whole Indie Rock scene in which people feel that vulnerability is a product. People who believe that over-exaggerating their loneliness and writing songs about it will make people with actually problems worship them. People virtually faking their depression so other people can relate to, even though it is trope-ish and stuff. I am NOT saying that its bad to put feelings in your songs, but that faking depression in order to garner attention is disgusting and foul play.
I am not implying that writing songs about personal life issues is wrong; in fact, I feel it is important that music be a vessel for feelings and storytelling. If you profit out of your music that you put your true feelings, that means you took something bad from your life and flipped it for your personal growth and I respect this. I DO NOT RESPECT IT WHEN SOMEONE FAKES BEING DEPRESSED IN ORDER TO GARNER PLAYS.
I chose the title because I refer teenage years as the Corner between childhood and adulthood, meaning the "king" of said corner is someone with influence over a lot of impressionable people.
I hope you guys enjoy and keep this message in your mind: You do not have to let anyone make your life decisions, because only you can do that. Forget about the celebrities and all that stuff because you are your own celebrity. Enjoy Life!
